Daniel Joshua Castaneda (Rodriguez) know as "Daniel J Castaneda" (born May 17, 1985) is an American Actor, Film Director, and Film Writer. Daniel J Castaneda is also co-owner of DC Media Productions from the Rio Grande Valley. 

 

Daniel J Castaneda was born in Weslaco, TX 1985. He lived with his mother (Esmerlada Castaneda) and step dad (Roberto Martinez) in Donna TX from 13 years then moved to Elsa TX where he resides now. Growing up Danny come up poor and lived under poverty a word that society has label for people at make less then $18,000 a year. Growing up Danny lived at his grandma house were he slepted on the floor. While living in Donna TX, he attended C. Stainke Elementary from there he also attended Guzman Elementary, then to Steven F. Austin in Donna, TX. There Danny started thinking about what he wanted to do when he grow up. Danny always like to reenact lines from movies that were funny. For example, Jim Carrey movies, Eddie Murphy movies. Danny got an opportunity to be in a project video at the age of 11 for drug free week. The project was a video promoting drug awareness that was happen in the school at the time. At the time that Danny attended Middle school teachers from there had given up on Daniel J Castaneda and had ask Danny's mother to take him to a Psychiatrist because had given up on school following the death of his grandmother. So At the age of 13, Danny moved from Donna TX to Elsa there he attended Jr. High school And High school. Danny played football in Elsa but always had the passion to be an actor. In High school, Danny still played football (1999-2003) but never had the opportunity to perform on stage in theater. 

 

After finishing and graduating High school (2003) Danny Attend the University of Texas at Pan American, in Edinburg, TX. Danny didn't wanted to attend college because he want to be an actor, so from there Danny got an academic suspended for not attending class and keeping up his GPA. After taking a one year off of college, Danny started to focus on his acting career in a more serious way, so in Oct. (2006) Danny got his first gig as a promoter for Kellogg's company as Tony the Tiger. Danny started to focus more on his acting career. He started looking into acting schools and went back to college to started his career as an actor. Danny from there had a full time job at O'reilly Auto parts. The company never appreciate him in the 7 years that he was there as a (RSS) Night Manager. so Danny left and started focusing more on his acting career. Now Danny is a full-time actor and since then he have made in total 30 plus Full Feature films, TV Interviews, Music videos and appearances in the Rio Grande Valley. Danny loves given back to his community show the love that his fans, friends, and family have given him. Some of the movies Danny has come out are Una Buena Vida, The Green Ghost, The Price of Power, The Blood Tapes, Cast, Spill-o-ver, Malvado and many more to come.
